Police arrested a man in connection with the deaths of two brothers in Dhaka’s Bashundhara after ‘pesticide poisoning through inhalation’ on Monday (June 5, 2023) night. The arrestee is Titu Molla, an employee of the pest control service who sprayed insecticide in the victims' house on Friday, said Md. Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Bhatara police station. Earlier on Monday afternoon, a case was filed against three people by the deceased’s father Mubarak Hossain Tushar. Police and the children’s family said workers of a pest control service sprayed insecticide at their new home in Bashundhara’s Block I last Friday. The family members left the house after insecticide was used. Nine-year-old Johan died Sunday (June 4, 2023) morning and Jahin passed away at night while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
