A seven-member Bangladesh contingent, including four athletes, will leave the capital on Tuesday for Trinidad & Tobago to participate in the 7th Commonwealth Youth Games 2023 to be held from August 4-11. More than 1,000 athletes from 72 Commonwealth countries will compete in 93 events across seven disciplines in the eight-day youth games. Bangladesh contingent comprises two athletes, two swimmers, two team officials and a team leader. Bangladesh team leaves for Germany to participate in World Archery Championship Director General of Bangladesh Olympic Association ( BOA) Brig Gen M Shams A Khan (retd) will accompany the team as team leader while Mohammad Shamsul Alam Khan and MB Saif are the team officials. Athlete M Masum Mustafa will compete in three events, another athlete Azmi Khatun to compete in two events, swimmer Amirul Islam Joy will participate in three events while another swimmer Annie Akter to compete in two events.
