Infinix is known for budget smartphones that bring good value for money for entry-level users. The brand has established its presence in the budget segment with the likes of its Hot and Note series. Recently Infinix announced their first GT smartphone, the GT 10 Pro on August 3, 2023 in India. Let’s take a look into Infinix's budget-friendly gaming smartphone GT 10 Pro to decide whether it is worth buying.  Key Specifications of Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G  Design and Build Quality  This is the first time Infinix used the GT branding on their smartphones. Though it's not a copyrighted term, it is usually associated with souped-up smartphones geared for performance and gaming. Before getting into the performance itself, the look and feel of the smartphone gives off a strong futuristic feel. The back panel has a Nothing Phone-like design. At first glance, it feels like looking into the internals of the device with dark ash, blue and yellow stripes. Infinix is calling it their Cyber Mecha design. However, it's just the graphics on the back panel that has been rendered in a highly detailed 3D space. The device is all plastic with a plastic frame and back panel. The camera module has an LED strip that looks like the Glyph interface from Nothing. Dimension wise the device comes in at 162.7 x 75.9 x 8.1 mm with 187 gm of effective weight. The lightweight design makes it comfortable to use for a long time without any issues. Ports and button selection are also standard. The power and volume buttons are on the right and the dual sim slot and micro SDXC are on the left. The top has a secondary noise cancellation mic and the bottom houses the main mic, Type C port, and an ever-so-important 3.5 mm headphone jack for gaming.  Overall, the design is a breath of fresh air against the minimal-looking designs from Infinix. It might not be for everyone, but it definitely has its niche. The Display  The display on the Infinix GT 10 Pro is an AMOLED 120 Hz refresh rate panel with 1B colors and 900 nits of peak brightness. The display itself is a 6.67-inch screen that comes with an 87% screen-to-body ratio. The Flexy AMOLED panel allows for internal curving. The result is a completely symmetric bezel on the front which looks straight out of iPhones. The 1080P by 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio allows for 395 ppi which gives a crisp and sharp look to the display.  There are no weird color shifts or occasional stutters which are common on budget smartphones with high refresh rates. Whether for gaming or media consumption, the GT Pro display is hands down the best in its budget class.  The Camera  There’s a common idea that gaming smartphones typically don’t have good cameras. There is a triple camera setup with a 108 MP main sensor, 2 MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Don’t get swayed by the megapixel on the main sensor as it lacks many supporting features like PDAF, OIS, and EIS.  The f/1.8 sensor captures decent shots in daylight. There are occasional color detection issues when zoomed in on a shot. The dynamic range is a hit or miss at times.
