Cyclonic storm Michaung likely to move Northwestwards, intensify further
The cyclonic storm ‘Michaung’ over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining area moved Northwestwards further and now lies over the same area and is likely to intensify further.
It was centred at 6 pm on Sunday about 1560 km Southwest of Chattogram port, 1520 km Southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 1420 km Southwest of Mongla port and 1430 km Southwest of Payra port, said a Met office bulletin.

Maximum sustained wind speed within 54 km of the cyclone centre is about 62 kph rising to 88 kph in gusts or squalls.
