Dutch King lauds Bangladesh's development, Hasina's leadership
Dutch King Willem-Alexander has lauded Bangladesh’s impressive socio-economic development and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s "charismatic leadership over one decade now’’.
The King recalled his visit to Bangladesh decades back and said that both the deltaic nations share unique commonalties in issues and also approach to global challenge like climate change, water, women, blue economy, sustainable manufacturing, circular economy.
He made the remarks when newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to the Netherlands M Riaz Hamidullah presented his credentials to King Willem-Alexander in the Royal Palace in The Hague.
King Willem-Alexander and Ambassador Hamidullah discussed key issues of bilateral interest and engagements, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
