List of the world's 500 most influential Muslims published
The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center in Amman has released the list of the world's most influential 500 personalities for 2025.
The publication, titled The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims, is issued annually, reflecting on the influence and contributions of Muslims globally. This year marks its 16th edition.
The primary aim of this publication is to select individuals who have a significant impact among the more than 2.1 billion Muslims worldwide.

The 500 Most Influential Muslims is a curated list highlighting the most impactful Muslim figures in the world. Compiled by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center in Amman, the list is published in collaboration with the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University in the United States. The organization first published this list in 2009.
The influential Muslims are categorized into five main groups, with the three primary categories being social, religious, and global. Their influence may be reflected in social or cultural spheres, contributions to economic progress, or significant roles in religious governance and political leadership.
The 5 Categories of Influential Figures:
Religious: Influential scholars and religious personalities who have made significant contributions to the promotion of Islam.
Political: Muslim rulers and politicians who have led the Muslim Ummah.
Science and Technology: Those who have played a significant role in technological advancements.
Arts and Culture: Individuals who have made important contributions to society through culture and the arts.

Sports and Entertainment: Muslim athletes and stars who have an impact on society.
This year's list includes the names of the top 50 influential Muslims, along with an expanded list of 450 individuals. Additionally, several notable Muslims who have made important contributions, though smaller in scope, have also been mentioned.
This edition discusses several significant topics from the current year, such as the situation regarding the ongoing genocide in Gaza in 2023 and the achievements of Muslim athletes in the Paris Olympics. It also highlights various events that have influenced the Muslim Ummah.
