Indices rally at DSE, CSE as turnover, share prices rise
Stocks witnessed a sharp rise at the Dhaka and Chattogram bourses on Sunday, the first trading day of the week, as indices, turnover and most share prices moved higher.
At the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the key index DSEX gained 51 points during the day’s trade.
The Shariah-based DSES rose 9 points while the blue-chip DS30 advanced 22 points.
Of the 398 issues traded, 205 advanced, 135 declined and 58 remained unchanged.
Most of the gains came from A and B-category companies, while prices in the Z-category slightly fell.
Indices gain in first four of trading at DSE, CSE
Out of 220 A-category companies, 122 advanced, 78 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
In the block market, shares worth Tk 16 crore of 32 companies were traded, with Fine Foods leading at Tk 3.16 crore.
The turnover also increased alongside the indices.
DSE’s daily turnover stood at Tk 801 crore, compared with Tk 703 crore in the previous session.
Desh Garments topped the gainers’ list with a rise of more than 9 percent, while Fareast Finance and Investment slumped over 6 percent to end as the worst performer.
CSE also Up
The upward momentum was also seen on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), where the overall index gained 124 points.
Of the 173 issues traded, 88 advanced, 64 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
The turnover at the CSE surged to Tk 13 crore from Tk 4 crore in the previous session.
Beacon Pharmaceuticals led the gainers with a 9 percent rise, while Advent Pharma dropped 9 percent to end as the day’s worst loser.

DSE rises, CSE retreats in mixed market mood
Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) began on a positive note on Wednesday, the fourth working day of the week, with the key index rising in early hours, while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced a marginal decline.
In the first two hours of trading, the DSEX, the benchmark index of the DSE, advanced by 19 points.
The Shariah-based DSES index gained 3 points, while the DS30 index, comprising blue-chip companies, added 6 points.
Out of the traded issues, the prices of 207 companies advanced, 96 declined and 86 remained unchanged.
The turnover at the DSE stood at Tk 250 crore during the period.
Trading begins in DSE, CSE on a positive note
Meanwhile, the overall index at the Chattogram bourse fell by 7 points during the same period.
Out of 108 companies traded at the CSE, 40 advanced, 44 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
The CSE recorded a turnover of Tk 2.5 crore in the first two hours of trading.

Stock market surges after holidays
Trading at the country’s stock exchanges began on a positive note following a three-day holiday, with both the Dhaka and Chattogram bourses witnessing notable gains in the opening hour on Monday.
At the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the key index DSEX rose by 59 points.
Among the other indices, the Shariah-based DSES gained 11 points, while the DS30 index, which represents blue-chip companies, advanced by 20 points.
During the first hour of trading, transactions at the DSE amounted to Tk 140 crore.

Of the shares traded, prices increased for 259 companies, declined for 48, while 70 remained unchanged.
Similarly, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also opened with an upward trend. The overall index at the port city’s bourse rose by 72 points.
Out of 56 companies that participated in trading during the first hour, prices rose for 32, declined for 12, and remained unchanged for another 12.
More than Tk 1 crore worth of shares and units were traded at the CSE in the initial hour of trading.

DSEX index gains 4.7 points in early trading
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main capital market, showed an uptrend in trading during the first 1 hour and 30 minutes on Thursday.
All three indices of the Dhaka stock market—DSEX, DSES, and DS30—recorded changes in the initial session of the fifth working day of the week.
The benchmark index DSEX rose by 4.70 points, reaching 5,189.7 points. The DSES Shariah index gained 2.5 points, climbing to 1,160.86 points, while the DS30 blue-chip index slightly dipped by 0.07 points to 1,920.92.
During this period, the DSE reported that 4.37 crore shares and units were exchanged through 35,192 transactions.

Despite high selling pressure in the first hour, shares and mutual funds worth Tk 99.7 crore were traded.
In total, 383 companies participated in trading. Among them, the prices of 210 companies increased, 81 decreased and 92 remained unchanged.

DSEX index down by 5.77 points, prices of 214 stocks drop
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended Wednesday’s trading with a downtrend.
DSE started the day with an upward trend and ended the day with a downtrend again.
According to the trade record, the DSEX (broad index) decreased by 5.77 points to settle at 5,185 points, compared to 5,190.77 points in the previous session. The Shariah-based DSES index fell by 0.54 points to settle at 1158.35 points, and the DS30 blue-chip index decreased by 1.74 points to settle at 1921.00 points.
Govt ownership stake in Grameen Bank could be reduced
A total of 12.73 crore shares and units changed hands through 110925 transactions, while 17.14 crore shares were traded in the previous session.
A total of Tk 307 crore worth of shares and bonds were traded in the DSE on Wednesday which saw a decrease from the previous session of Tk 427.5 crore.
Out of the 396 Companies that participated in trading, 118 advanced, 214 declined and 64 remained unchanged at the DSE.
DSEX index up by 5.98 points and 184 companies’ price advance in first hour
The port city bourse, CSE, also settled with a downtrend. The All Share Price Index (CASPI) decreased by 22.57 points and settled at 14480.3 points.
On the CSE, 183 companies participated in trading. Of them, 79 companies recorded price gains, 77 companies saw declines, and 27 companies remained unchanged.

At the CSE, shares and units of 13.48 lakh changed hands through 1394 transactions on Wednesday. The value of trading shares and units was Tk 4.11crore, which was Tk 6.73 crore in the previous session.

DSEX index up by 5.98 points and 184 companies’ price advance in first hour
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country's main capital market, saw an upward trend of trading in the first hour on Wednesday.
The 3 indexes of the Dhaka stock market DSEX, DSES and DS30 increased in the first session of the 4th working day of the week.
The main index DSEX increased by 5.98 points to 5,196.75 points, the DSES Shariah index up by 1.13 points to 1160.03 points, and the DS30 special blue-chip index increased by 0.99 points to 1923.74 points during the first hour on Wednesday.

On the day, the trading record in the DSE shows that shares and units of 4.79 crore were exchanged through 33539 transactions. In the first hour, the market witnessed huge selling pressure, and shares and mutual funds worth Tk 95.5 crore were traded.
During this time, a total of 365 companies participated in trading. Among these, prices of 184 companies increased, 106 companies decreased and 75 companies remained unchanged at the DSE.

DSEX index drops by 8.06 points, TK 427.5 crore traded on Tuesday
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended Tuesday’s trading with a downtrend.
Trading started in the morning with an upward trend, but indexes started to drop after 12 pm.
According to the trade record, the DSEX (broad index) decreased by 8.06 points to settle at 5,190.77 points, compared to 33.67 points up in the previous session (Monday). The Shariah-based DSES index fell by 2.69 points to settle at 1158.89 points, and the DS30 blue-chip index increased by 10.87 points to settle at 1922.74 points on Tuesday.
A total of 17.14 crore shares and units changed hands through 127188 transactions, while 12.87 crore shares were traded in the previous session.
A total of Tk 427.5 crore worth of shares and bonds were traded in the DSE on Tuesday which saw an increase from the previous session of Tk 362.6 crore.
Out of the 399 companies that participated in trading, 162 advanced, 164 declined and 73 remained unchanged at the DSE.

The port city bourse, CSE, also settled on an upward trend of trading. The All-Share Price Index (CASPI) increased by 36.6 points and settled at 14502.88 points.
On the CSE, 206 companies participated in trading. Of them, 115 companies recorded price gains, 61 companies saw decline, and 30 companies remained unchanged.
At the CSE, shares and units of 27.26 lakh changed hands through 1966 transactions. The value of trading shares and units was Tk 6.73 crore, which was Tk 8.49 crore in the previous session.

DSEX index gains 33.67 points, prices of 223 companies up
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended Monday’s trading with an upward trend.
On Monday, trading of DSE started with a downtrend, but the indexes started to raise around 11 am.
The DSEX (broad index) gained 33.67 points to settle at 5,198.84 points, compared to 5,165.16 points in the previous session (Sunday). The Shariah-based DSES index was up by 13.47 points to settle at 1161.59 points, and the DS30 blue-chip index increased by 14.0 points to settle at 1933.62 points on Monday.
DSEX index increases by 6.91 points with Tk 81.5 crore traded in first hour
A total of 12.87 crore shares and units changed hands through 119632 transactions, while 11.1 crore shares were traded in the previous session on Sunday.
A total of Tk 362.6 crore worth of shares and bonds were traded in the DSE on Monday which saw a slight upward from the previous session of Tk 311.6 crore.
Out of the 398 Companies that participated in trading, 223 advanced, 101 declined and 74 remained unchanged at the DSE.
The port city bourse, CSE, also settled on an upward trend of trading. The All Share Price Index (CASPI) increased by 5.87 points and settled at 14466.08 points.
DSEX index drops by 34.44 points, prices of 270 companies decrease
On the CSE, 212 companies participated in trading. Of them, 87 companies recorded price gains, 93 companies saw declines, and 32 companies remained unchanged.
At the CSE, shares and units of 21.88 lakh changed hands through 1660 transactions on Sunday. The value of trading shares and units was Tk 8.49 crore, which was Tk 13.62 crore in the previous session.

DSE index rises by 11.2 points; Tk 131.5 crore traded in 2 hours
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the principal capital market of Bangladesh, showed positive momentum during the first two hours of trading on Monday.
Trading data revealed that shares and units totaling 6.26 crore were exchanged through 50,190 transactions during this period. The cumulative value of the traded shares and mutual funds stood at Tk 131.5 crore.
DSE witnesses lowest turnover in 4 months
A total of 385 companies participated in trading, with mixed results: 241 companies recorded gains, 76 companies saw their prices decline, and 68 companies remained unchanged.
The benchmark DSEX index rose by 11.2 points, settling at 5,193.03 points. Similarly, the DSES Shariah index climbed by 3.81 points to 1,160.57 points, while the DS30 index, which tracks blue-chip stocks, advanced by 2.94 points to reach 1,911.57 points.
