President Mohammad Shahabuddin on Monday paid tribute to the martyrs at the National Memorial on the occasion of Victory Day in Savar. The president laid a wreath at the memorial to honour the martyrs at around 6:30 am. During the ceremony, a smartly turned out contingent of of Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force saluted the president and presented a guard of honour.
