Trainee doctors block Shahbagh demanding allowance hike
Postgraduate trainee doctors have blocked Shahbagh intersection demanding an increase in their monthly allowance or the 9th grade pay scale, leading to traffic congestion in the surrounding areas.
Postgraduate trainee doctors from different parts of the country gathered at the BSMMU hospital and took position at the intersection around 1 pm to press home their demand for raising their allowance from Tk 25,000 to Tk 50,000.
They said they will not leave until they are assured by the authorities concerned about fulfilling their demand.
