Trader killed as gas cylinder falls on him at Kamrangirchar
A 55-year-old trader was killed after a gas cylinder fell on his head from a multi-storey building in the capital’s Kamrangirchar area on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Jamal, a resident of the Noorbagh area.
The gas cylinder fell onto the tin roof of their home and then struck Jamal on the head around 9pm while he was standing in front of a house in Old Police Outpost Lane at Noorbagh, leaving him injured, said Inspector Habibur Rahman, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp.
Later, he was taken the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 10pm.

Trader killed over money dispute in Khulna
A trader was killed allegedly by another trader following a money dispute after selling beef at Sener Bazar in Rupsha upazila of Khulna district on Friday night.
The deceased, identified as Arif, was a butcher and son of Mohammad Ali from Sadar upazila.
Shariful Islam, in-charge of Aichgati Police Camp, said Arif and Rubel had financial dealings at Sener Bazar.
Youth stabbed dead in Khulna
Around 8:30 pm on Friday, an altercation broke out between them over the transaction of Tk 2.5 lakh, leading to a scuffle.
At one point, Rubel attacked Arif with a machete, leaving him critically injured.
Arif was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around 10:45 pm.
Police are conducting raids to arrest Rubel.
