Online GD services to be launched in Khulna, Barishal
All types of online General Diary (GD) services will be launched in all police stations in Khulna and Barishal ranges as well as in Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) jurisdictions on Monday .
Currently, the online GD service is operational in all 457 police stations under Dhaka Range, Mymensingh Range, Sylhet Range and Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Chattogram Range and Chattogram Metropolitan Police, Rajshahi Range and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, and Rangpur Range and Rangpur Metropolitan Police.

Previously, the online system allowed only GDs related to lost and found items.
From Monday, citizens under Khulna and Barishal ranges and KMP and BMP will have access to the full range of GD services online, covering a total of 122 police stations, says a Police Headquarters media release on Sunday afternoon.
To use the service, users can download the “Online GD” app from the Google Play Store and register. Registration is required only once. For any assistance with registration or filing a GD, citizens can call the 24-hour hotline at 01320001428.

Online GD services now available in all districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions
The Bangladesh Police on Thursday launched full-fledged online General Diary (GD) services across all police stations in Rajshahi and Rangpur ranges, including Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) and Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RMP).
The move comes as part of the government's initiative to streamline and digitize police services, following directives from the chief adviser, allowing citizens to file any type of GD from the comfort of their homes.
Previously, online GD services were limited to lost and found items. With the latest expansion, a total of 151 police stations in Rajshahi and Rangpur will now process all categories of GDs online.
The service is already operational in the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chattogram ranges, as well as the Sylhet and Chattogram Metropolitan Police jurisdictions. The initiative will be gradually rolled out to the remaining ranges and metropolitan areas across the country.

Online GD service to be launched in Dhaka, Mymensingh Tuesday
Bangladesh Police’s digital service initiative is set to expand on Tuesday, as residents under all police stations in the Dhaka and Mymensingh ranges will be able to file all types of General Diaries (GD) online.
According to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters on Monday, this move is part of ongoing efforts to simplify police services under the directive of the chief adviser.
The online GD facility, which previously only allowed for entries related to loss and recovery, will now support all GD types.
With this expansion, the total number of police stations offering the service will include 134 under Dhaka and Mymensingh, in addition to those already covered under the Sylhet Range, Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Chattogram Range and Chattogram Metropolitan Police.

To file an online GD, users must download the ‘Online GD’ app from the Google Play Store and complete a one-time registration process. For any help during registration or filing, a 24-hour hotline (01320001428) has been made available.
Enamul Haque Sagar, AIG (Media and PR) of the Police Headquarters, said the Bangladesh Police is committed to improving public accessibility to police services, and the online GD service will be gradually introduced in other ranges and metropolitan areas across the country.

The online GD (general diary) service in all police stations under Chattogram range and Chattagram Metropolitan Police (CMP) will start from Thursday.
This initiative has been taken following a directive from the Chief Adviser to simplify and digitise police services, said a Police Headquarters statement issued on Wednesday.
Earlier, only reports related to lost and found items could be filed online.
Police cannot be a killer force: IGP
Now all types of GDs can be submitted online in these areas, according to the statement.
The online GD service was first introduced on a pilot basis at all police stations under Sylhet Metropolitan Police and Chandpur District Police on April 15, 2025.
The service will be gradually expanded to other police ranges and metropolitan areas across the country, it said.
