Two parliamentary constituencies –- Bogura-1 and Jashore-6 – are going to by-elections on Tuesday as the Election Commission has completed all necessary preparations.

BNP on Tuesday asked the Election Commission not to hold the parliamentary by-polls to Bogura-1 and Jashore-6 on July 14 next amid this pandemic situation.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday paid tributes to Awami League MP from Jashore-6 constituency Ismat Ara Sadique who passed away in the morning.

Awami League lawmaker and former State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique died at a hospital in the city on Tuesday. She was 78.
