Remittances cross $2bn in 27 days of July
Bangladeshi expatriates have sent remittances amopunting to $2.09 billion in the first 27 days of July, the first month of the current fiscal year 2025-26.
Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director and Spokesperson for the Bangladesh Bank, confirmed these figures Sunday.
According to central bank data, the expatriates were sent $1.57 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year (FY2024-25). It means inward remittance flow has grown by 33.6 percent in 27 days of July.
Bangladesh received $1.70 billion in remittances in 21 days of July
On 27 July, the expatriates sent $166 million remittance in a single day.
The expatriates sent $30.32 billion remittance in FY 2024-25, which is the highest ever.

Bangladesh received $1.93bn in remittances in 26 days of July
Bangladeshi expatriates sent US$1.93 billion in remittances during the first 26 days of July, the opening month of the 2025–26 fiscal year, said Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director and Spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank.
Data from the central bank shows that remittance inflow during the same period of the previous fiscal year (FY2024–25) stood at $1.55 billion, marking a 23.97 percent year-on-year growth.

Expatriates sent $106 million in remittances on July 24 and 25 alone.
In FY2024–25, Bangladeshi expatriates remitted a total of $30.32 billion—an all-time high.
