Dhaka’s air quality ranks worst again
After showing a marked improvement in its quality for the last few days, Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka ranked worst again in the Air Quality Index (AQI) on Monday morning.
The mega city had an AQI score of 173 at 08:41am and its air quality was classified as ‘unhealthy’.
When the AQI scores between 151 and 200, some members of the general public may experience health effects and members of sensitive groups may start experience more serious health effects.

AQI: Dhaka’s air quality 'moderate'
Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on Monday morning ranked as 4th worst in the Air Quality Index (AQI) with moderate air quality.
The air of the mega city was categorised as ‘moderate’ in the morning with an AQI score of 99 at 10:04 am.
The general public is less likely to be affected in this condition.
China’s Beijing, Afghanistan’s Kabul and Indonesia’s Jakarta occupied the first three spots in the list of cities with the worst air quality with AQI scores of 129, 127 and 122 respectively.

Dhaka’s air still ‘unhealthy’ for sensitive groups
Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on Tuesday morning ranked the 4th worst polluted city in the world in the Air Quality Index (AQI).
The air in Dhaka was categorised as ‘unhealthy for sensitive groups’ in the morning and the megacity had an AQI score of 101 at 09:08am.
When the AQI is between 101 and 150, members of sensitive groups may experience health effects. The general public is less likely to be affected in this condition.
Indonesia’s Jakarta, South Africa’s Johannesburg and India’s Delhi occupied the first three spots in the list of cities with worst air quality with AQI scores of 122, 117 and 113 respectively.

The air quality of Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka showed signs of continuous improvement during Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.
It was categorised as ‘moderate’ on Tuesday morning in the Air Quality Index (AQI) with an AQI score of 73 at 10:08am.
The mega city was ranked 14th among the worst polluted cities in the world.
When the AQI value is between 51 and 100, the air quality is acceptable. However, there may be risk for some people, particularly those who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.

No improvement in Dhaka’s air quality
