Mild earthquake jolts parts of Bangladesh
A mild earthquake was felt in Sylhet district and nearby areas on Wednesday night.
The tremor, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, was recorded at 10:53 pm, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The EMSC said the epicentre was located in Myanmar. It was about 112 kilometres north-northwest of Monywa in Myanmar’s Sagaing Region and around 75 kilometres southeast of Mawlaik.
The quake caused panic among residents in Sylhet, with many people rushing out of their homes in fear. However, no damage was reported.

Mild earthquake jolts Sylhet; epicentre in Gowainghat upazila
A mild tremor shook Sylhet and its adjacent areas on Tuesday.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the tremor was recorded at 5:32 pm with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale.
The epicentre of the earthquake was Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet division, 214 km North-East from BMD Seismic Centre, Agargaon, Dhaka, according to BMD.

Dhaka shakes again as mild quake strikes Narsingdi
A mild earthquake jolted Dhaka and nearby areas early Thursday (December 04), according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
BMD reported that the 4.1-magnitude quake struck at around 6:14am, with its epicentre in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi, about 38 kilometres northeast of the BMD Seismic Observatory and Research Centre in Agargaon.
No casualties have been reported so far.
Mild earthquake jolts Dhaka, adjacent areas again
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre placed the epicentre 33 kilometres east-northeast of Tongi and three kilometres north of Narsingdi, at a depth of 30 kilometres.
A stronger earthquake, measuring 5.7 in magnitude, had earlier shaken Dhaka and several regions on November 21, also originating from Narsingdi.
Since then, several minor tremors have been recorded across the country, most with epicentres in Narsingdi.
