In the 13th National Parliament, the first seat in the front row of the treasury bench has been taken by Leader of the House and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Next to the Leader of the House is BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The next seats are occupied by Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed. Other seats in the row are taken, in order, by BNP Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Liberation War Affairs Minister Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (later elected Speaker), Power and Energy Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku and Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs Minister Abu Zafar Md Zahid Hossain. In the middle seats of the front row are BNP Standing Committee member Abdul Moyeen Khan; Environment and Forest Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo; Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain, Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, BNP Vice-Chairman Altaaf Hossain Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party Andalib Rahman Partha, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan and Advocate Zainal Abedin. Directly behind the Leader of the House, in the second row, sits Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni.
