Hamas has urged Iran to avoid targeting neighbouring countries and called on nations and international organisations to work towards stopping the ongoing war immediately, according to media reports. The Palestinian group said it was following the developments in the Middle East with “deep concern,” warning that the conflict threatens peace and security in the region and beyond. In a statement posted on Telegram, Hamas said the US-Israeli aggression against Iran violates international law and international humanitarian law. The group also urged countries in the region to cooperate to stop the aggression. Hamas is designated as a terrorist organisation by the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel and several other countries.   With inputs from BBC
