The central Eid congregation of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will be held at 8:00am at the old Trade Fair ground adjacent to China-Bangladesh Friendship Exhibition Center in Agargaon on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr. The schedule was finalised at a preparatory meeting held at the conference room of DNCC on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by DNCC Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan. Canals in Dhaka to be excavated, cleaned to curb waterlogging, dengue: DNCC Administrator At the meeting, it was informed that all necessary preparations are being taken to organise the Eid congregation in a disciplined and pleasant environment for city residents. Three gates will be kept for entry to the Eidgah and a separate entrance will be arranged for women. Facilities for ablution will also be available for the convenience of the worshippers. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will deploy two platoons of police at the old Trade Fair ground t during the  ensure law and order and security during Eid congregation. Besides, relevant agencies including the DMP's traffic division, DPDC and WASA will work in coordination to ensure traffic management, electricity and water supply. Speaking at the meeting, DNCC Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan directed the officials concerned to properly perform their respective duties and inform the city residents accordingly. DNCC has invited all devout Muslims and city residents to join the central Eid congregation on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
