Bottle gourd growers in Chowgaccha upazila in Jashore district are reaping rich reward by cultivating bottle gourd on bamboo platforms as it is more profitable than other crops.

Seven people, including an Awami League leader, were arrested on Sunday for allegedly cutting off the hair of a housewife after torturing her at  Salua Purbapara village in Chowgaccha upazila.
