SSC examinee drowns in Khulna pond
An SSC examinee who suffered from epilepsy drowned in a pond while taking a bath in Koyra upazila of Khulna on Friday.
Priya Majhi, 16, was daughter of Nitish Majhi of Khodolkati village under Moheshboripur union. She was sitting her SSC exams from a local high school this year.

Mony Roy, a member of the union parishad, said Priya drowned in the pond, possibly due to an epilepsy attack that affected her while bathing.
Later, locals recovered her body from the water body, Mony added.

Panchagarh SSC examinee killed in road crash on way to exam centre
A Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinee was killed in a road crash at Debiganj upazila in Panchagarh Saturday on his way to exam hall.
The deceased was identified as Sabirul Islam Sagar,16, a student of Kalurhat KC High School and son of Mojibul Islam from Khochabari Kalicharan village in the upazila.
Sagar was on his way to attend Bengali second paper exam at MP Girls High School center at Kaliganj Saturday morning by an auto-rickshaw.
Near Matiapara area on Dhangirhat-Kaliganj road the auto rickshaw overturned while saving a goat on the road, leaving Sagar severely injured, said Md Jamal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Debiganj police station.
He was declared dead by the doctors when taken to the upazila health complex, said the OC.

SSC examinee’s throat-slit body found in Bhola
Police recovered the throat-slit body of a 17-year old SSC examinee from Ali Nagar union in Sadar upazila of Bhola on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Obaidur Rahman, of the upazila. He was an SSC examinee from Pashchim Ruhita Secondary School and used to work as an electrician.
Locals said Obaidur remained missing since Tuesday night.

Locals spotted the throat-slit body of Obaidur from a betel nut garden near his house in Ruhita village this morning and informed police, said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) (Sadar circle) Farhad Sarder.
The body was later sent to Bhola Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
Besides, processes are underway to file a case in this regard, said Arman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhola Model police station.

SSC examinee stabbed dead in Thakurgaon
A Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinee was stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants at Duramari in Thakurgaon municipality area on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Mehedi Hasan, 15, a student of Thakurgaon Govt. Boys' High School and son of Abdul Malek of Sonihari village in sadar upazila.
A group of miscreants attacked Mehedi on Wednesday evening behind a hotel at Duramari and fled away, said witnesses.

Hearing his scream local people rushed in and took injured Mehedi to Thakurgaon sadar hospital where doctors declared Mehedi dead. Another youth Arman was also injured during the attack.
Dr Sabrina, a physician of the hospital, said Mehedi died due to excessive bleeding and Arman is currently under treatment at the hospital
Mehadi’s uncle Amzad Hossain , said Mehedi’s friend Galif called him out of his house before the incident.

SSC examinee drowns in Bogura
The body of SSC examinee was recovered from the Bangali River at Sonatola in Bogura district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ainul Islam, 16, son of Abul Hossain of Sonakania village.
Police said Ainul, a student of Boyra High School, went missing when he went to the river for taking a bath at Gurbhanga in the village around 1pm on Saturday.

On information, the divers of Rajshahi Fire Service recovered the body after 22 hours on Sunday.
Rezaul Karim Reza, officer-in-charge of Sonatala Police Station, said the body was handed over to the family.

SSC examinee jumps off a building hours before exam
A SSC examinee died after he allegedly off a six-storied building in Rangpur hours before he was to sit for this year's exam that began Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Wasif Rayhan,17, a student of Rangpur Zila School and son of Abu Taher Md Masud, additional district commissioner of Rangpur.

Wasif jumped from the roof top of the building at Keranipara around 7 am, said Officer-in-Charge of Rangpur metropolitan Kotwali police station Hossain Ali quoting the family.
As no complaint was filed in this regard the body was handed over without any autopsy.
The reason behind the suicide could not be known yet, he said.

SSC examinee hacked to death in Chudanga
A SSC examinee was on Sunday hacked to death in an attack by unknown assailants shortly after he attended a farewell reception by his school at Gulshanpara of Chuadanga town, police said.
The motive behind murdering Tonmoy Topu, 17, a student of Al-helal Secondary Islami Academy, could not be immediately known.

According to witnesses the assailants attacked the boy with a sharp weapon when his classmates left the school after the reception. They left him lying on the school ground with severe injuries.
Locals rushed him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Chuadanga Sadar police station Mohammad Mohsin said police are hunting the attackers.

SSC examinee shot ‘by BSF men ’ in Panchagarh
A Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinee was shot and injured by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members along Ratinibari Prodhanpara bordering area in Sadar upazila on Sunday.
The victim is Shumun Roy, 16, son of Paresh Chandra Roy of Ratinibari Prodhanpara village in the upazila. He appeared in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination.
Quoting local people, Lieutenant Colonel Mamunul Haque, commanding officer of BGB-65 Battalion, Nilphamari, said Shimun along with some others were erecting fence with net near the border in the morning.
At one stage, the BSF members from Khayerbari went to the spot and asked them not to do so, he said.
At one stage of altercation the BSF members shot Shimun, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was taken to Panchagarh Modern Hospital and then shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital as his condition deterrioated.
