An engineering team and necessary spare parts have been sent to Rome to repair the Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft which was grounded due to a technical problem. The designated aircraft, S2-AJY, is currently AOG (Aircraft on Ground) in Rome, Biman said in its latest update on Saturday. The engineering team and spare parts were sent to Rome on the BG305 flight on Aug. 8 and are scheduled to arrive at 16:50 UTC (6:50 p.m. Rome local time). If the technical problem is resolved as planned, BG306 is expected to depart Rome for Dhaka at 20:00 UTC (10:00 p.m. local time) on Aug. 8 and reach Dhaka at around 10:30 a.m. BST on Aug. 9. Passengers will be regularly updated on the latest flight information.
