A two-day Archery Judges Refreshers Course '2022, organised by Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF),  begins on Friday (Jan 28) at the Archery Federation office in the city. BAF general secretary Kazi Razibuddin Ahmed Chapal will inaugurate the course  at 11 am.  Also read: Diya, Rubel win first-ever silver medal for Bangladesh in Asian Archery Eleven men and five women  will participate in the two-day long course to be held from 9 am to 7 pm.  BAF member and member secretary of the Federation's Judges Committee M Faruk Dali will act as the Course Director. The Teer 22nd Asian Archery Championship’ 2021, organized by Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF), began here on Saturday at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in Banani. Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Syed Shahed Reza inaugurated the weeklong continental meet. Executive Director of the meet’s sponsor City Group (Teer) Zafaruddin Siddiqui was the special guest on the occasion. Some 187 archers and officials from 16 counties, including 15 archers from hosts Bangladesh, are taking part in 10 events of the meet, sponsored by City Group (Teer). Ten events are: recurve men’s team, recurve women’s team. recurve men’s singles, recurve women’s singles, recurve mixed team,  compound men’s team, compound women’s team, compound men’s singles, compound women’s singles and compound mixed team.

Some 131 archers including 53 women’s from 17 counties will compete in ten events of the week-long meet, sponsored by City Group (Teer). Fifteen Bangladeshi arhers including seven women’s will compete in the prestigious meet.           The Congress of World Archery Asia’ 2021 will be held on November 12 at the Sheraton Dhaka in Banani. President of World Archery Asia and chairman of the Hyundai Group Euisun Chung will present in the congress.

An 11-member Bangladesh Archery team left Dhaka for Switzerland Sunday morning to participate in the World Archery Championships. The global event will take place between May 17-23 in the Swiss city of Lausanne. Also read: Heralding a new era in Bangladesh Archery Bangladeshi archers will compete in stage-2 of six events – men's recurve individual and team, women's recurve individual and team, recurve mixed team and men's compound individual. The Bangladesh team includes head coach Martin Frederick, coach Ziaul Haque; Ruman Shana, Ram Krishna Saha, Hakim Ahmed Rubel, Tamimul Islam, Ashim Kumar Das, Beauty Roy, Diya Siddiqui and Mehnaj Akhter Monira. Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF) will start their new year’s calendar with 4th ISSF International Solidarity World Ranking Archery Championship scheduled to begin on February 23 at Archery Training Centre at Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium in Tongi.
