Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of general secretary of Narail district unit of Awami League and Narail Municipality Mayor M Jahangir Biswas.

Terming the coronavirus situation in Bangladesh “normal”, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday said the government will take initiatives, including closure of educational institutions, considering the situation.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was shifted to a cabin from Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Saturday morning as his condition improved.
