44th BCS preliminary test results published
The results of 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary test (MCQ type) were published on Wednesday.
Altogether 15,708 candidates qualified for participating in the written examination, said a press release of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).

The results are available at PSC website: www.bpsc.gov.bd. The results can be known through text messages by typing PSC44Registration Number and sending to 16222.
The preliminary test for the 44th BCS was held on May 27 this year.
40th BCS final results published
The final results of the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination were published on Wednesday.
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) recommended appointment of 1,963 candidates to different cadre posts, said a press release.

Meanwhile 8,166 successful candidates have been kept for non-cadre posts subject to appointment based on vacancy.

To fill 1,903 vacant posts of different cadres, the BPSC published a circular in 2018. Later, 316 vacant posts were also added to it.

Among 10,964 candidates, who faced the viva-voce, 10,254 came out successful.
41st BCS preliminary test results published
The results of 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary test (MCQ type) were published on Sunday.
Altogether 21,056 candidates qualified for participating in the written examination, said a press release of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).

The preliminary test for 41st BCS was held on March 19 this year.
Govt appoints 2,000 physicians from 39th BCS
The government on Monday temporarily recruited 2,000 more physicians from the waiting list of the 39th special batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) as the country fights against coronavirus outbreak.
Monirul Islam new Bangladesh Ambassador to Egypt
The government has appointed Md Monirul Islam, now Bangladesh Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to African Union, as the next Bangladesh Ambassador to Egypt.
Ambassador Islam is a career foreign service officer who belongs to the 10th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre.
In his diplomatic career, Ambassador Islam served in various capacities in Bangladesh missions in Singapore, Bandar Seri Begawan, Madrid, Beijing, Ottawa and Brasilia, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
He served as the Bangladesh Consul General in New York and Bangladesh Ambassador to Morocco with concurrent accreditation to several West African countries.
At the headquarters, he worked in various capacities in different wings of the Foreign Ministry.
Ambassador Islam obtained his Bachelor (honours) and Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka.
He also had a Master’s degree in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Monash University, Australia.
As a career diplomat, Ambassador Islam had professional training in Canberra, New Delhi, Hawaii and Beijing, among others, and had participated in several international conferences as a member of Bangladesh delegation.
Appoint 38 successful BCS candidates within 60 days: HC
The High Court on Wednesday directed the government to appoint within 60 days 38 candidates who came out successful in the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations.
