DU admission test to begin Jan 3
The admission test for undergraduate programmes of Dhaka University (DU) for 2024-25 academic session will begin on January 3.
The admission tests will begin with the exam of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) on January 3.
The entry test of Fine Arts faculty has been scheduled to be held the next day on January 4.
Admission exam of Arts, Law and Social Science unit is scheduled to be held on January 25, the exam of Science unit will be held on February 1 and the entry test for business unit will be held on February 8.

This decision was taken on Monday afternoon in a meeting of the general admission committee. Deans of faculties confirmed the information too.
According to the notice, the candidates will be able to apply for the exam from 4th November and it will continue till 25 November.
Students have to pay an amount of total Tk 1050 against every application.

22-point demand: CU fine arts students on indefinite class boycott
The fine arts students of Chattogram University (CU) Thursday started boycotting classes for an indefinite period to press home their 22-point demand, including renovation of dormitories and the library.
The other major demands are supply of pure drinking water, bus service for students; enough dining, canteen, and washroom facilities, supply of art materials, maintenance of hygiene, smooth power supplies in all classrooms, and internet connection.
More than 150 students of the Institute of Fine Arts staged a sit-in protest in front of the institute in the port city in the morning, declaring their demands.

Khandakar Masrul Al Fahim, a protesting student, said: "We have called for the boycott of classes as we found no solutions to our problems despite making repeated complaints."
Professor Pranab Mitra Chowdhury, director of the institute, said: "We already talked to the authority about the problems the students are facing and hope to find a solution soon."

DU publishes Cha unit test results
Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday published the admission test results of the Cha unit under the fine arts faculty.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman published the results from Abdul Motion Chowdhury virtual classroom in the presence of Fine Arts faculty dean Prof Nisar Hossain.

Of a total of 6,156 examinees, only 241 successful students can now apply for admission against a total of 130 seats.
Faria Nowshin Ahmed Apon bagged the first position in the test, scoring 100.5 out of 120.
Oishee Rani Mondol secured the second position in the test scoring 98.94, while Mohammad Forhad Ali came third with a score of 98.84.
Successful students have time till July 30 to apply for their choice of subject.
