Two people were killed and 12 others injured when a bus crashed into a tree in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday morning.  The accident occurred around 10am in front of the Hiranyakandi Sampan Highway Restaurant on the Dhaka-Khulna highway, said Azizul Haque Rajan, station manager of Bhatiapara Fire Service.  The deceased were identified as Montu Sheikh, 55, the driver of Tungipara Express, and Arif Hossain, the bus supervisor.  3 killed in Bogura road crash According to fire service officials, the Tungipara Express bus first hit the rear of a Khulna-bound Sohag Paribahan bus and  then hit the tree, leaving 12 people injured, including the driver and supervisor.  The injured were rushed to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared Montu Sheikh and Arif Hossain dead.

A motorcyclist and his two pillions were killed when a vehicle hit their bike on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Hironnokandi in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj district on Friday. The deceased were identified as Hridoy Mridha, 18, son of Monir Mridha, Bishal Nag, 16, a student of Kashiani Technical School and son of Babul Nag and Dipu Das, 18, son of Bishnupodo Das of Kashiani upazila. The accident occurred between 5:30 am to 6 am when the unidentified vehicles hit the motorbike, leaving the three dead on the spot, said Abdullahel Baki, sub-inspector of Bhanga Highway Police. 2 killed in Bagerhat road accident They met the tragedy while heading towards Muksudpur upazila to drink raw date juice. The bodies were kept at the Kashiani Upazila Health Complex.          

Two people were killed and 10 others injured when a bus hit an excavator on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in the Dumdia area of Gopalganj's Sadar upazila in the small hours of Thursday. One of the deceased was identified as Bachchu Molla, 50, son of Majid Molla of Rupsha upazila. The accident occurred around 12am when the Dhaka-bound bus belonging to ‘Diganta Paribahan’ from Bagerhat's Katakhali, collided head-on with the excavator, leaving two people, including its driver, dead on the spot, said Abu Naim Md Tofazzal, inspector of Kashiani Bhatiapara Police Station. The 10 injured were taken to 250-bed General Hospital. However, vehicular movement became normal after police intervention.    

Four people were killed and 20 others injured as a ‘rashly driven’ bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Tungipara upazila on Gopalganj-Patgati road in Gopalganj on Saturday morning.

Five people were killed in a collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw in Chowghari Bazar area of Sylhet-Zakiganj highway in Gopalganj on Saturday.

A female teacher of Dhaka’s Willes Little Flower School got one of her hands severed in a road accident which took place when their excursion bus overturned at Ghonapara in Sadar upazila on Tuesday.  

A man was crushed under the wheels of a microbus on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Charchapta area in Kashiani upazila on Friday morning.   The deceased was identified as Md Idris Molla, 45, son of Imtaj Molla on Charchapta area.
