Sitakunda: Train crashes into pickup truck; no casualties reported
A passenger train on Monday smashed into a pickup truck on its tracks at Yakub Nagar rail crossing in Chattogram's Sitakunda upazila.
No casualties or major damage were reported.
The crash happened at noon when the Chattogram-bound "Sonar Bangla Express" from Dhaka rammed a goods-laden pickup truck stuck on the tracks, said Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sitakunda Model Police Station.

"On information, police rushed to the spot and seized the mini truck. The driver escaped unhurt. He fled the scene, leaving his vehicle right there," Abul Kalam said. "The traffic movement returned to normal one hour after the accident.
"A two-member probe body has been formed to investigate the incident," he added.
