A passenger train on Monday smashed into a pickup truck on its tracks at Yakub Nagar rail crossing in Chattogram's Sitakunda upazila. No casualties or major damage were reported. The crash happened at noon when the Chattogram-bound "Sonar Bangla Express" from Dhaka rammed a goods-laden pickup truck stuck on the tracks, said Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sitakunda Model Police Station. He fled the scene, leaving his vehicle right there," Abul Kalam said. "The traffic movement returned to normal one hour after the accident.
