19-year-old stabbed dead in Faridpur
A 19-year-old van puller was stabbed to death, allegedly over previous enmity, at Kajikanda village in Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Rubel Sheikh, son of Salam Sheikh of the upazila.
Miraj Hossain, officer-in-charge of Nagarkanda Police Station, said Rubel had previous enmity with some young men in the upazila and they often locked into altercations.

Some young men including Rony Sheikh, 18, son of Hayat Sheikh of Hiabaldi village, waylaid Rubel and stabbed him indiscriminately on Kajikanda Road around 10:30 pm, leaving him injured.
Later, he was taken to Nagarkanda Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries around 11 pm.
Three held over killing siblings in Kishoreganj
Rony was injured during the attack and he was undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Police detained three people including Rony for interrogation.

30 hurt in Narsingdi clash
At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two groups over previous enmity at Nalbata village in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi early Monday, said police.
The clash broke around 6:30am between the supporters of former Amirganj union parishad member Alauddin and the supporters of former member Gulzar following enmity over establishing dominance in the village, said Gobinda Sarkar, officer-in-charge (OC) (Investigation) of Raipura police station.

The two rival groups opened fire on each other during the clash, he said.
The injured are undergoing treatment at different hospitals including Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Brahmanbaria’s Nabinagar Health Complex and Bancharampur Health Complex.

These two groups locked into clashes several times in the last six months, said locals.
Police brought the situation under control around 8:30am, said the OC. Additional police were deployed in the area to prevent any untoward situation, he added.

28-yr-old killed by cousins over old enmity
A 28-year-old man was killed allegedly by his cousins over an old enmity in the city’s Mohammadpur area on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Amir Hossain, a resident of Shahid Nagar.
Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police outpost, said two men -- Kabir and Humayun -- stopped Amir near Aziz Khan Road and stabbed him indiscriminately.

A critically injured Amir was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Amir was the cousin of Humayun and Kabir. "Efforts are on to nab the accused," a police officer said.

3 held over killing of devotee in Magura
Police arrested three people in connection with the killing of a devotee in a mosque at Polashbari Union of Mohammadpur Upazila in Magura district on Sunday.
The arrestees are Russel, son of Kuddus Molla, Sohel and Quamrul of the village.

Tarak Nath, officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station, said Shahida Begum, wife of Pakhi Master, lodged a complaint against Russel and others with the police station.
Following the complaint, police arrested three people on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier on Saturday Pakhi Master came under attack reportedly by some people when he entered the mosque around 5 pm.

As locals rushed to the mosque hearing his screams, Rabiul and Banshi fled the scene.
Pakhi was then taken to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Pakhi had an enmity with some of his neighbours over raising the bank of his pond that causes waterlogging at the house of his neighbours, said police.
