BNP-Police clash: 31 BNP men land in Natore jail
A Natore court on Tuesday sent 31 BNP activists to jail in a case over a clash between BNP men and police on November 22 during a rally demanding BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s release for treatment abroad. District and Sessions Court Judge Sharif Uddin passed the order when 60 BNP activists led by district BNP member secretary Rahim Newaz surrendered before the court and sought bail.

On December 1, the court granted the accused a four-week anticipatory bail. On November 22, BNP leaders and activists gathered in front of their party office at Alaipur around 10 am to hold a rally as part of their central program demanding its Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release for her treatment abroad.

Khaleda’s family submits application seeking her release
