The confirmed COVID-19 cases have surpassed 42.9 million globally as of Monday morning, according to the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University (JHU).

Bangladesh’s confirmed coronavirus tally reached 360,555 on Monday after the health authorities recorded 1,407 cases.

Well, experts say there is not enough reason to believe that secondhand smoke can directly spread the virus that causes Covid-19 but infected smokers may blow droplets carrying the virus when they exhale.

The global death toll from COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus has jumped to 42,151 as of Wednesday.   It has so far infected 858,669 people around the world, according to worldometer.   Of them, 638,419 are currently being treated with 32,898 being in serious or critical condition.   So far, 220,250 cases had outcomes and of them, 178,099 recovered.   Meanwhile, Bangladesh has so far reported 51 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Amid growing number of self- or home-quarantined people who are coming from abroad, the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Wednesday said that two of the three patients diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease associated with the 2019 novel coronavirus, have almost recovered.
