Weeklong beach carnival and tourism fair in Cox’s Bazar set to start today
In an effort to promote local tourism, a weeklong beach carnival and tourism fair is set to start today (September 27, 2023).
The local administration has taken all preparations to inaugurate the carnival that will continue till October 3.
Hotels and motels in Cox’s Bazar are ready to welcome local and foreign tourists.
Tourism fair to begin Sunday at DU
Rooms of hotels and motels are booked ahead of the tourism fair.
Abu Morshed Chowdhury, president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cox’s Bazar, said the fair can positively brand local tourism.
Muhammad Shaheen Imran, deputy commissioner of Cox’s Bazar district, said different programmes including circus, beach bike rally, cultural programmes, fireworks, road show, seminar, kite festival, magic show, fire spinning, surfing, beach marathon, beach volleyball and concert will be held during the weeklong fair.
Popular band Chirkutt, as well as artistes from Sunamganj, Kushtia, Sylhet, Kurigram and Mymensingh will arrive to perform at the carnival.

Young dancers from Bandarban, Khagrachhari and Rangamati, and the Rakhaine community from Cox’s Bazar will also participate in the fair.
A number of stalls have been set up at Laboni Point and other beach points.

3-day In’l tourism fair begins in Dhaka June 2
A three-day international tourism fair is going to begin in the capital on June 2.
The Bangladesh Monitor will organise the tourism expo titled: Triplover Dhaka Mart-2022 (DTM-2022) at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel.
Following the devastating effect of COVID-19 pandemic, the country's travel and tourism-based publication house will organize the fair in a view to accelerate the recovery of the travel and tourism sector, said Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor of The Bangladesh Monitor.
He said the State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali will inaugurate the expo at 11 am while Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Chairman(Senior Secretary), Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and Md. Jashim Uddin, President, FBCCI will be present on the occasion.

The organizers noted that a total of about 50 organisations, representing national tourism organisations, airlines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, travel agencies, online travel agencies, healthcare service providers from home and abroad are taking part in the DTM 2022.
The 3-day fair will remain open for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm everyday on payment of an entry fee of Tk. 40 per person. Attractive prizes will be offered in the raffle draw, which will include airline tickets to Maldives, Singapore, Kolkata, Cox’s Bazar and many others.
Attractive special offers and discounts will also be offered by the participating organizations during the 3-day fair including free hotel accommodation in Cox’s Bazar and other destinations by US-Bangla Airlines.
On the sideline of the fair a seminar on “Prospect of Bangladesh as a regional aviation hub” will be held on June 4 at 3.30 pm.
Leading online Travel Agency (OTA)Triplover is playing host as Title Sponsor of the fair while the biggest private sector airline of the country US- Bangla Airlines is the Co-sponsor. National carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) are the Partners of the DTM-2022.

3-day intl tourism fair begins in Chattogram Thursday
International tourism fair "TripLover Chittagong Travel Mart 2022" will kick off in the port city Thursday.
To revive the Covid-hit travel and tourism industry of the country, travel and tourism publication The Bangladesh Monitor has taken the initiative to organise the 12th edition of the fair.
The three-day tourism fair will be held at The Peninsula Chittagong Hotel.

Stakeholders in the travel and tourism sector, from home and abroad, including airlines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, online travel agencies, hospitals and other healthcare service providers, immigration solution providers will join it.
Bangladeshi online travel agency Triplover has become the title sponsor of the fair, while the Bangladesh Tourism Board has joined it as a partner.
A total of 26 participants will showcase their products and services in 29 stalls at the fair.
TripLover, the Bangladesh Tourism Board, US-Bangla Airlines, Best Western Heritage, Sea Shell Hotel, Hotel Grand Mostafa, Arshinagar Future Park, Hotel The Cox Today, Goldsands Hotels and Resorts, Ocean Paradise Hotel and Resort, Nagar Valley Hotel, Sangu Tours, Blue-Dream Tours and Travels, GoTrip, and Eco Travelers will join the international tourism fair.
Travel Business Portal, TLNTRIP, Bumrungrad Hospital Bangladesh Office, CM International Immigration Service, Innoglobe Technologies, Med Solutions, United College of Aviation Science and Management, THR Immigration Service, and Fortis Hospital Bangalore are the other participants.

They will offer special discounts on air tickets, tour packages and other products and services for the visitors during the fair.
The fair will be open for all from 10am to 8pm every day till January 8.
