ASI killed in Chattogram road crash
A 48-year-old police officer was killed in a road accident in the Cement Crossing area under the EPZ Police Station in Chattogram on Friday.
The deceased is Benuram Nath, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police of Dampara Police Lines.
Hailing from Fatikchhari upazila of the district, Benuram was on duty at Eastern Refinery Limited.

Kabirul Islam, officer-in-charge of EPZ Police Station, said a covered van ran over ASI Benuram Nath in front of the TSP complex of Cement Crossing area at noon, leaving him dead on the spot.
The body was handed over to his elder brother and brother-in-law. Police are trying to nab the killer vehicle and its driver by collecting CCTV footage, he added.

Cop killed in Khulna road crash
A 38-year-old cop died while another person riding pillion on his bike was injured after being hit by a speeding bus in Rupsha upazila of Khulna district on Monday night, police said.
The deceased was identified as Nasim Uddin, an assistant sub-inspector at Khulna city special branch and son of Abdul Wadud Mollah of Birat Kalbunia village in Khulna.
The accident occurred around 7.45 pm on the Khulna-Mongla highway in the Ilaipur Mor area of the upazila.

"The Rupsha-bound bus hit their bike, leaving them critically injured," said the officer-in-charge of Rupsha police station, Sarder Mosharrof Hossain.
Locals rushed them to Khulna Medical College and Hospital and later Nasim was transferred to Khulna City Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The injured, Shafiqul Islam, is now undergoing treatment at the hospital.
On information, police rushed to the spot and took the motorcycle into custody.
Though the bus has been seized, its driver and his assistant managed to flee, the OC said.

ASI killed in Cumilla road crash
A police officer was killed in a road crash Tuesday afternoon at Devpur area of Cumilla-Sylhet highway as two motorcycles collided.
The deceased was identified as Raki Chandra Singh, an assistant sub-Inspector of Nabinagar police station in Brahmanbaria.
Police citing the eyewitnesses said Raki Chandra Singh was on his way to Cumilla Cantonment. At Devpur area of the Cumilla-Sylhet highway, while he was trying to overtake a vehicle he collided head-on with another motorbike coming from the opposite direction.

After the accident both the bikers fell on the road being seriously injured. Locals rushed them to Mainamati Medical College Hospital.
Later in a critical condition, assistant sub-Inspector Raki was taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Meanwhile, the critically injured other biker Rafi Ullah was sent to Dhaka for advanced treatment after initial treatment.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Highway Police Abdur Rashid confirmed the death of assistant sub-Inspector Raki and said the motorbikes were recovered from the spot.
