Coronavirus: Overseas returnees asked to contact police
People who have returned from abroad since March 1 and staying at addresses different than the ones in their passports have been asked to contact nearby police stations.
All returnees must inform police about their current locations and provide mobile phone numbers, a notification from the Police Headquarters said Tuesday.
It warned of legal action is anyone violates the directive.

Police increase monitoring of overseas returnees
Police are strictly monitoring across the country whether those who returned from different countries are maintaining the 14-day mandatory home-quarantine, says a senior official.
The government on March 14 announced that people coming from coronavirus-infected countries would be in a compulsory 14-day quarantine and anyone violating the directive would face action.
Following the instruction, the Police Headquarters directed superintendents of police (SPs) of all the districts last week to monitor whether the returnees are maintaining the home-quarantine at their respective districts.
