A Supreme Court lawyer appealed to the President and Prime Minister on Tuesday seeking the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Monday said the family’s appeal to temporarily release BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia from jail was sent to the Law Ministry for its legal opinion.

Khaleda Zia’s sister Selima Islam on Saturday urged the government to release the BNP chairperson on humanitarian ground as she is sick.
