BSJA Media Cup Football: Semis and final on Sunday
The semifinals and final of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament, organised by the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA), will be held on Sunday (June 1) at the Paltan Maidan.
Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, is expected to attend the final as the chief guest.
In semifinals, ATN Bangla will face Desh TV at 9am, while Dainik Jugantor will encounter Dhaka Tribune at the same time. The final is scheduled to kick off at 11am.

Earlier on Saturday’s quarterfinal matches, Dainik Jugantor edged past Prothom Alo 4-2 in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw in regulation time.
ATN Bangla also advanced via a tiebreaker, defeating Ekhon TV 3-2 after a goalless draw.
Desh TV booked their place in the semis by defeating last time’s finalist The Business Standard 1-0, while Dhaka Tribune overcame Channel i with an identical scoreline.

Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament begins here on Monday
The Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament 2025, an yearly football meet for the journalists, organized by Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA), begins on Monday at the Paltan Maidan here.
Thirty two teams from different media houses, split into eight groups, will compete in the Knock out basis tournament.
Eight matches will be held on the opening day (Monday) from 8:30 am to 12 noon.
Convener of the tournament committee Raihan Al Mugni disclosed the details of the tournament at a press conference at the Dutch Bangla Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympics Association (BOA) on Saturday.
The ceremonial draw of the tournament was held during the day’s press conference where the tournament's jersey and trophy were also unveiled.

The press conference, chaired by BSJA president Arifur Rahman Babu, also addressed by Head of the Marketing of the meet’s sponsor Square Toiletries Dr. Jesmin Zaman, former national footballer cum head coach of the BPL champions Dhaka Mohammedan SC Alfaz Ahmed and BSJA general secretary SM Sumon.
BSJA joint secretary Arafat Zubair conducted the day’s ceremonial draw of the participating teams.

Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football begins Saturday
The Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament 2023, organised by the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA), will begin Saturday at the artificial turf of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in the capital's Motijheel.
Thirty-two teams from print and electronic media, split into eight groups, will take part in the first phase of the six-a-side tournament on a knock-out basis.
Later, eight group champions will play in the quarterfinals.
BSJA President ATM Sayeduzzaman disclosed the details of the competition at a press conference at the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Wednesday.
Assistant Manager (Marketing) of tournament sponsor Square Toiletries Tehsina Khanam, BSJA General Secretary Anisur Rahman, tournament convenor Raihan Al Mugni and tournament secretary M Robiul Islam also spoke.
The champions of the competition will get Tk30,000 as prize money; the runner-ups will get Tk15,000. Also, the best player of the tournament and the best player of each match will be awarded.
