Nine people including the Keraniganj upazila Nirbahi Officer have been infected with coronavirus, raising the number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 884 in Keraniganj upazila.   According to Coronavirus control room, UNO Amit Debnath and eight more people  tested positive for coronavirus in the upazila.   Three executive magistrates, one project officer, 14 physicians, 17 nurses, 18 health workers, 46 Rab members and 45 policemen are among those infected with the virus here.

A man died from coronavirus and 22 more people including seven members of Rapid Action Battalion(Rab) tested positive for coronavirus in Keraniganj, one of the coronavirus hotspots, in the last 24 hours till Saaturday.

A man who tested positive for coronavirus died at Kolatia area on Friday night, raising the death toll to three in the upazila.

A man who recently attended an event of Tablig Jamaat  has tested positive for coronavirus at Tashura village in Nawabganj upazila.   Nawabganj Upazila Health Complex  medical officer  Dr Hargobinda Sarkar Anup said  samples of three people were collected from the upazila on Wednesday and those were sent to IEDCR for coronavirus test.   After getting the medical test report, it was  found that the man, a resident of Babuganj area of the upazila who  returned from Tablig, was infected with the virus.   He was sent to Bangladesh Kuwait Friendship Hospital, he said.   Besides, a Saudi returnee in Baha union tested positive for coronavirus few days ago and he along with his family was asked to maintain home-quarantine.
