The government has appointed Mohammad Javed Patwary, outgoing inspector general of police (IGP),  as the country's new ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

Outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary on Sunday directed field-level police officials to bring those involved in misappropriating relief and irregularities in its distribution to book, saying no anomalies will be tolerated in this regard.
