Though wearing protective face masks is essential in public places amid the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a growing public apathy towards using this safety gear.

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) peacekeepers from Bangladesh have demonstrated their commitment amid COVID-19 providing basic sewing training to local women in Wau to enable them to produce cloth face masks.

Grameen Telecom has said it is providing 1 million cloth masks free of cost to  underprivileged people and those who cannot afford to buy any masks. 

Greece welcomed on Wednesday the donation by China to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus at hosting facilities, where thousands of refugees and migrants are accommodated.
