Head of Delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh Ambassador Rensje Teerink on Sunday said the demand for highly skilled, socially engaged people worldwide and in Bangladesh is increasing.

The European Union is providing €1.65 million in humanitarian aid funding in response to severe flooding that have affected South Asia — most notably Bangladesh, India and Nepal.

The European Union (EU) has transferred EUR 46.125 million or Tk 428 crore to the government of Bangladesh to support key national reforms in the education sector.
