A total of 5,303 among 8,544 infected policemen recovered from coronavirus as of Saturday.   “Among the total infected, 2,064 policemen are attached to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) alone,” said sources at the Police Headquarters.   Meanwhile, 3,175 policemen were sent to isolation and 8,237 were put in quarantine, said the sources.

Seventeen policemen of a single police station recovered from coronavirus while 63 members of law enforcement finished 14-day quarantine in Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday.   “The 17 policemen tested negative for second time on Saturday,” said Gopalganj Civil Surgeon Niaz Mahmud.   Meanwhile, 63 policemen of the police station completed their 14-day quarantine on Friday, he added.

Seventeen coronavirus cases were confirmed from Cumilla and Laxmipur in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.   In Cumilla, Comilla Medical College Hospital found 15 positive cases after testing 93 samples, according to the civil surgeon’s office.
