Momen inaugurates ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ and ‘Bangabandhu garden’ at NIT, Silchar
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen inaugurated ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ and ‘Bangabandhu Garden’ at the APJ Abdul Kalam Learning and Resource Center of India’s National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar situated in Assam State on Saturday.
Later, Momen attended a discussion and cultural program held at the institute’s Bhupen Hazarika Auditorium as the chief guest, where he thanked the Indian government for honoring Father of The Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“Through the establishment of Mujib Corner at South Asia’s largest digital library, the students of NIT will get a chance to know more about the life, struggles and achievements of Bangabandhu. Besides, the students will also learn about Bangladesh’s long struggle for freedom and India’s contribution during the Liberation War of Bangladesh,” Momen said.

Bangabandhu Corner opened at India's Lovely Professional University
Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Muhammad Imran inaugurated a Bangabandhu Corner at the Lovely Professional University (LPU) in India's Punjab Thursday.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the establishment of the Bangabandhu Corner and collaboration in academic exchanges was signed between the university and the high commission.

Info minister inaugurates Bangabandhu Corner, Bangladeshi fashion house in Guwahati
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday inaugurated the Bangabandhu Corner and Anamika's Indo-Bangla Fashion House in Guwahati.
The minister paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the opening ceremony of the Bangabandhu Corner at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Guwahati.
Local dignitaries from the cultural world were present on the occasion, said the mission.
Two sculptures crafted by sculptors Tuichindrai Jayanta and Jitumoni Baiswa were placed at the Bangabandhu Corner.
Hasan Mahmud also inaugurated a Bangladeshi Jamdani showroom named "Anamika's Indo-Bangla Fashion House" at the Assam Tourism Development Corporation building.
He is scheduled to inaugurate the first "Bangladesh Film Festival" at Hotel Vivanta Thursday.

Bangabandhu Corner opened in Islamabad
Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen Saturday inaugurated a Bangabandhu Corner at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad.
The corner has been adorned with inscriptions and photographs and books and publications on Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

‘Bangabandhu Corner’ set up at Seoul National University Library
As part of the birth centenary celebration of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul has established a ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ on the main campus library of Seoul National University (SNU).
The event was attended by Ambassador Abida Islam, General Director of the Seoul National University Library Kim Myung Hwan and the officials of the Embassy and the University.
Thanking the Ambassador, General Director Kim Myung Hwan handed over a Letter of Appreciation to Ambassador Abida Islam.
SNU is one of the top-ranking public universities in Korea and presently it is ranked 36th in the 2022 QS Global World Rankings.
SNU Library contains more than 5 million books, 2.5 million academic and electronic journals, and over 35,000 students are pursuing higher studies in this university.

Bangabandhu Corner to be established at Lovely Professional University in Punjab
A Bangabandhu Corner will be established at “Lovely Professional University” in Punjab, one of the largest private universities in India.
The Bangabandhu Corner will gradually be converted into a centre as agreed by the university authorities.
The decision was taken in a meeting between Muhammad Imran, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India and Ashok Mittal, Chancellor of the University, said the Bangladesh High Commission on Tuesday.
The initiatives have been taken to mark the celebration of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Lovely Professional University has around 35 thousand students including more than three thousand foreign students from over 50 countries in its 600 – acre campus.

Bangabandhu's ideals continue to inspire peace and harmony: FM
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has said Bangabandhu's policy, his struggle, perseverance and sacrifice will continue to encourage the people, particularly the young generation, to follow his path of peace and harmony.
The foreign minister was addressing a virtual function marking the inauguration of Bangabandhu Corner at Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs ( BILIA) on Thursday.

Barrister M. Amir-UL Islam, Chairman of Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA) and Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Director of BILIA also spoke.
Dr Momen said that having embraced the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina concluded the peace accord in the Chittagong Hill Tracts during her first term more than two decades ago.
She resolved critical issues with neighbours, India and Myanmar through dialogue and discussion by peaceful means, he said.
She also became the ’mother of humanity’ by providing shelter and humanitarian assistance to the 1.1 million hapless and persecuted Rohingya population from Myanmar-which is a unique example of humanity and compassion, he said.
