New Cabinet Secretary Kabir Bin Anwar met with President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the capital Monday. The president congratulated him on his appointment as cabinet secretary. India will take some decisions, including implementation of Teesta water-sharing treaty, after elections in its West Bengal and Assam states.

Bangladesh has emphasised signing of interim water sharing agreement of the Teesta River as agreed by Bangladesh and India in 2011.
