Actress Jennifer Lawrence said she lost the role of Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood because some people online considered her “not pretty enough.” Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Lawrence said she was told the part was meant for her but eventually went to Margot Robbie. She added that internet comments may have influenced the casting decision. Lawrence also mentioned that she had previously turned down roles written for her, including a part in Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.
