The Covid-19 pandemic and its socio-economic fallout pose high risks to migrant workers in the Asia-Pacific, a new report by the United Nations has claimed.

Although the average household income declined by 20 percent due to Covid-19 fallout, the resumption of economic activities helped bring down the unemployment rate, according to a survey of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque on Wednesday asked his ministry officials to design big projects to face the fallout of Covid-19 pandemic.
