ERF voices concern over scrapping accreditation cards of its members
The Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) has expressed concern over the cancellation of the accreditation cards of 10 permanent members of the organization.
They are among the 118 journalists whose accreditation cards have recently been revoked by the Press Information Department.
In a joint statement on Wednesday, the ERF president and general secretary Mohammad Refayet Ullah Mirdha and Abul Kashem said that the interim government has pledged to ensure free media. But the cancellation of the accreditation cards does not conform to the commitment.
They urged the authorities to restore the accreditation cards of 10 members of ERF immediately for the sake free flow of information.
