Bangladesh has expressed deep shock at the loss of lives following an Air India plane crash at an airport in the southern state of Kerala, killing at least 18 people and injuring over 100.

Indian Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan has said there is a mutual desire to further strengthen the relationship between Bangladesh and India through cooperation in areas that can benefit the people in both nations.
