Former student leaders and students who played significant roles in freeing Chittagong University from the grip of Jamaat-Shibir through a progressive movement,  united on Friday in the city to help one of the most brutally tortured former BCL leaders, Azad.

The authorities of Chattogram University put the  campus under 14-day lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.   Confirming that matter,  Registrar of the university Professor SM Monirul Hasan, said the decision came from an emergency meeting of the syndicate members with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shirin Akhter.   He said Chittagong University has been locked down for 14 days from July 4-18 due to rapid transmission of coronavirus on the CU campus.
