After many dramatic ups and downs, popular film actor couple Pori Moni and Shariful Razz are apparently divorced, according to their family sources. Pori Moni posted a status on her verified Facebook page that raised rumours of divorce on social media. However, there have been no direct comment from either Pori Moni or Razz on the subject so far. The Appellate Division on Monday upheld the High Court order that stayed the trial proceedings against Dhallywood actress Pori Moni in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act. A three-member bench of the Appellate Division led by Appeal Division Judge Justice Md Nuruzzaman passed the order following the state’s appeal against the HC order. The court also ordered disposing of the HC rule over charge framing against Pori Moni in six months. Advocate Monjurul said the trial proceeding of the case will remain suspended for six months and the HC rule should be disposed of by this period. Otherwise, the trial court may start the trial proceeding of the case after this period, he added. On March 1 last year, High Court stayed the trial proceeding of the case for three months. It also issued a rule asking the government to explain as to why the order of charge framing against Pori Moni should not be revoked. Judge of Dhaka Special Judge of Court-10 Md Nazrul Islam indicted Pori Moni and two others in the case on January 5 last year. On January 30, Pori Moni appealed before the High Court for quashing the case and subsequent indictment by the trial court. On October 4, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) submitted a charge sheet against them. Pori Moni was arrested on August 4, following a raid by RAB on her Banani residence. A case was filed against her under the Narcotics Control Act the following day. On August 31, 2021, a Dhaka court granted bail to Pori Moni in the narcotics case. She had walked out of jail the following day.

After sharing a couple of bombshell Facebook posts on the eve of the new year hinting that she was seeking separation from her husband and Dhallywood’s most successful actor in 2022 Shariful Razz, Pori Moni explained her marital issues via a Facebook post on Sunday. The actress revealed the reasons behind her decision, explaining that she suffered physical violence and calling the marriage a one-sided effort from her side throughout its entirety. “A person would never decide to have a child if they aren't committed to a relationship. I gave this relationship everything I had to make it work; however, I was taken for granted. Despite my best efforts, which were all on my end, I kept failing,” Pori Moni wrote. The actress also revealed that she was physically assaulted numerous times by Razz.   “When I looked at my son, Rajya, I completely forgot about everything, but then I remembered that if he observes a destructive relationship, he would never grow up in a balanced atmosphere,” she added, stating that her decision to separate will be beneficial to both Rajya and Razz. Ending the post with a grievance regarding the entire situation, Pori Moni wrote: "What could be more heartbreaking to me than Rajya not having his parents together as he grows up?" On Saturday, Pori Moni announced that she will reveal everything in a press conference today, after posting images of a bloodied bedsheet and pillow. "Happy New Year! Press conference tomorrow, loading," she wrote in the post. Earlier on Dec 31st, she revealed that she is no longer with Razz, expressing that she freed herself from a toxic relationship. Pori Moni married Sariful Razz in October 2021. Last year on August 10th, Shaheem Muhammad Rajya was born to the couple.

Dhallywood star Pori Moni hinted at separation from her husband, actor Sariful Razz, on her social media account shortly after midnight. The post began with a New Year's greeting of “Happy 31st, everyone!” which afterwards hinted at a troubled marriage. “Today I said adieu to Razz from my life and also freed myself from this toxic relationship. The trailer of children's film "Adventure of Sundarbans" based on Muhammad Zafar Iqbal's novel "Ratuler Raat Ratuler Din" was released on Tuesday. Zafar Iqbal not only wrote the children's novel but also composed a song for the movie. The government-sponsored film is directed by Abu Raihan Jewel. Trisha (Porimoni) and her assistant Ratul (Siam) are in charge of taking care of everyone. They plan to return from the Sundarbans before sunset. However, things turn out differently than planned. Their ship gets stuck in the tide, and it gets dark after sunset. Soon, a group of ruthless robbers arrive and take over the ship. Ratul and the children come up with a plan to fight back. The movie was shot in the world's largest mangrove forest. The beauty of the Sundarbans will be evident on the silver screen in all its natural glory. Suman Sarkar has done cinematography. Film actress Pori Moni on Tuesday gave statement against three people including businessman Nasir U Mahmood and Tuhin Siddique Omi, in a case filed over rape and murder attempts on her. Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-9 Judge Hemayet Uddin recorded her statement and fixed January 11 to hear the rest of the statement. Of the accused, Omi and Shah Shahidul Alam were present but Nasir appealed for time mentioning illness. On June 9, ,2021 Pori Moni   in her verified Facebook page uploaded a status seeking justice from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, claiming that the six people attempted to rape and kill her at the Uttara Boating Club. On June 14, Pori Moni filed a sexual assault complaint against six people, including Nasir and Omi, with Savar Model Police Station. Later, Nasir and four others were arrested from Uttara by a team of detectives. But, on Dec 1, Pori Moni filed a no-confidence petition seeking further investigation. On December 13, Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-9 Judge Md Hemayet Uddin accepted the charges in the case rejecting Pori Moni’s no-confidence petition.. The court fixed March 3, 2022 for beginning trial in the case.  

After a Facebook post by Dhallywood star Pori Moni – tagging her husband Sariful Razz, popular actress Bidya Sinha Mim and film director Raihan Rafi – went viral and created uproar in Bangladeshi media, Mim has provided a statement. In a Facebook post from her verified profile, Mim asked all “not to be misled by baseless rumours”. A Dhaka court on Monday directed Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the assault, vandalism, murder attempt and threat case against film actress Pori Moni filed by Nasir Uddin Mahmood, former Dhaka Boat Club executive and businessman. Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Rajib Hasan made the direction and asked CID to submit a report within October 6. On July 6, Nasir filed the case against Pori and two of her associates. The court fixed today’s date to pass an order in this regard after recording the plaintiff’s statement, said Anwarul Kabir Babu, additional public prosecutor of the court. Also read: Pori Moni suffers hand injury in 'accident' The others accused in the case are Fatema Tuz Jannat Boney and Zunayed Bogdadi Jimmy alias Jim. According to the complaint, Pori and her associates were alcoholics, and used to get drunk in famous clubs and take liquor in parcels without making payment and threatening to file fake cases using their connection with police. On the night of June 9 in 2021, Pori and her associates went to Dhaka Boat Club in Savar after 12am and got drunk as usual. Before leaving around 1 am Pori asked the plaintiff to sit with her for a while. At one point she tried to seduce Nasir and take a bottle of liquor as a parcel but free which the plaintiff denied. After that Pori Moni started verbally assaulting him and threw a serving glass and phone at Nasir hurting him on the head and chest.
