The historic  7th March, a memorable day in the history of Bangalis’ long arduous freedom struggle, will be observed  across the country on Sunday in a befitting manner.

The Directorate of Posts on Friday released a commemorative postage stamp commemorating the recognition of the historic 7th March Speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as part of the world’s documentary heritage by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco).

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has decided to include the historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the syllabus of all departments.

The Cabinet on Monday approved a proposal for declaring 7th March as the ‘National Historic Day’ in a bid to observe the day nationally, commemorating the historic 7th March Speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
