At total of five militants were confirmed dead as fighting planes struck a Taliban hideout in Baraki Barak district of Afghanistan's eastern Logar province on Saturday, said an army press release Sunday.

At least six militants were killed as fighting aircrafts pounded a Taliban hideout in Darqad district of Afghanistan's northern Takhar province on Wednesday, provincial governor's Spokesman Mohammad Jawad Hajari said Thursday.
